Too late, already happening. Half of his first recruiting class is gone now.

This is correct. However, I think they have to wait until after the season to join another team. If coach is fired, they can transfer immediately. Big difference.

He must be in possession of some very compromising photos of the Auburn administration.

Is that true? They still can't play at the other school though.

And aren't the guys in the portal not playing anyway?

Because they are auburn and completely unstable. If they had a coach that wanted the job, harsin would be gone. That has not happened.

Which coach is available to accept a job in the middle of October?

Right, totally got the month part of the question. But that doesn’t change the fact that Notre Dame was in the middle of yet another playoff run. Still kelly left for lsu.

You would say that auburn displays any resemblance of stability as a program?

Yes, after his regular season was over.

Don't get me wrong, I want Harsin gone yesterday. But I don't think they are avoiding firing him because they don't have a coach committed (even privately). More than likely they want to hire an AD first.

No AD right now.

Makes sense then

Definitely want the AD in place before starting a coaching search

While a playoff spot was still a realistic possibility.

Didn’t want to risk getting his arse kicked again in the postseason and then get his offer pulled.

You mean like firing your winningest all time coach (Miles), or firing your coach 2 years after winning a natty (Orgeron)? Yes, LSU has been the beacon of a stable program. Teach us all your ways.

No AD. And we are hiring Freeze. It is all but done.

Y'all should consider floating rumors that Barn is hiring Jon Gruden.

Setting our sights higher than Gruden. Andy Reid is the guy.

My best guess is organizational dysfunction.

It doesn't. I was just curious. It's been all over the college football media for weeks, but then you see teams like Nebraska and GT dumping their coaches and Barn keeps holding on.

I know it might be hard to believe, but there was no trolling intent behind this topic.
