I get that some random publication said you were NC supposedly in 65 and 77 and by all accounts you have a legitemate claim to 64 over Bama but what are you even trying to troll about the 09 season?

Men's NCs are in double digits, but that's only 5%? Cool!

Considering most of the country cares the most about College Football and College Basketball. That's where the ratings are at, games on TV, etc. Best athletic Dept in the SEC is Florida! I'm sure most people outside the SEC would agree.

I think he's talking about 1909. And they don't have a legit claim to 64 if I'm remembering it correctly. If they do, so do a ton of other teams in a ton of other years. The bowl games were exhibitions back then.

Oh so he was talking about the other 09, the one over a century ago haha. Yea LSU could claim at least 6 or 7 if we counted random publications and individuals. I am sure Bama would claim 40 or 50.

Ark isn't the best but probably 3rd or 4th in the conference in overall sports programs.
FL and LSU are the top 2.
Aubie brings up the rear.

I would give the nod to UF, nut LSU Has a natty in each of the big 3; plus I think LSU Is the only school with 10+ SEC titles in the big 3. Also we had the best dynasty in NCAA history

Currently, I would say UF is running the best athletic department... just look at the Capital One Cup standings. Historically, I'd say LSU. Most National Titles of any SEC school, not including 8 combined Final Four appearances, as well as having every sport regularly reaching some form of post season play (come on Johnny Jones!)

Yes.

Can you break this down to ROI? How much money was spent by the AD to the national championship numbers? How about revenue generated by each AD to expenses...broken down by program of course.

UF
Football - 3 National titles (modern era), 10 SECCG appearances and 7 wins.
Baseball - Not a great history but been really good recently with a few CWS appearances and reached the final in 95.
Basketball - 4 Final Fours, 3 national title appearances, 2 National Titles. Also have the winningest active SEC Coach....who is on pace to break Rupps wins record.

LSU claims a 1935 MNC in Men's Basketball from winning the American Legion Bowl vs. Pitt.
So I guess if programs claim MNCs from the Great Depression and earlier in football, why not basketball?
That's why it's just easier to compare NCAA titles -- but that leaves out almost everyone's favorite sport.

It was an agreement between our fanbase and LSU's we agreed to acknowledge y'alls 1908 NC claim if y'all would support our claim to 1909 (7-0). Even though most of the Ivy league schools and the military academies would have trounced both teams. We agreed

The last 3 years both Florida and A&M have finished in the Top 10 in the Director's Cup. No other SEC school has placed at all in that time. UF has the strongest overall AD. A&M has a strong argument for #2, we currently are ranked in the Top 25 for every sport we participate in outside of Men's Basketball (though baseball is rebuilding this year as well and may take a hit).
In truth though the SEC is loaded with quality AD's, very few "one sport wonders" or just overall bad AD's.
