A&M has attempted 193 passes compared to Tenn's 134. A&M's pass yards per game is also equally higher.

A&M also has 192 rush attempts compared to Tenn's 215. Yet, A&M averages 258 rush yards per game compared to Tenn's lowly 174.

So A&M has one of the most balanced attacks in the country, gets more yards per play/per game by a substantial margin, and is also able to run more plays per game..... yet A&M has a time of possession of 26 min/game compared to Tenn's 27 min/game.

So A&M does about 200 yards more per game damage than Tenn and holds the ball a minute less....cool thanks for playing

You asked for stats, you got stats. Tennessee is pretty clearly a better, more efficient passing team than Texas A&M.

I don't post here to post about Vols football. I post and lurk on other UT boards about UT football, namely 247.

I've already commented about being a UT alum and living in Chattanooga.

This is one of my first posts on TD

You know, John Chavis never was that good at defending running quarterbacks.

This is the only statistic I have actually found where the two are comparable. Both are pretty bad. A&M has made its bread and butter off big 1st and 2nd downs.

A&M has the #3 red zone defense in the country and only allows a score (FG/TD) 55% of the time.

We have aggies going through posting history to prove that UT alums are actually Longhorns in disguise.

Think about that for a minute.

Tennessee is clearly a better passing team than A&M, and A&M has been mediocre at best against P5 teams passing the football this year.

I agree more efficient, but "better" is subjective and arguable. You can be very efficient and only avg. 100 yards per game and get your arse kicked by a less efficient passing team.

@OP... coming into the UT vs UF game, UF was statistically superior to UT in PPG, opponent PPG, rushing YPG, passing YPG, rushing YPG allowed, and passing YPG allowed. I'm not bullshitting, that's true. And none of it fricking mattered when Astro Dobbs whipped dat arse in the 2nd half.
