The offseason champions of the past are experiencing some major setbacks this year, with Ole Miss opting to begin their bowl ban a year early and UT fans growing weary of their "How did you win the life championship?" coach. tGrind at Miss State has been severely lacking for a couple of years. Arkansas fans are not hog-wild about the ending of their bowl game, with Bert opting to go on a scoring fast in the second half.

Auburn looked like it would make a promising run with the addition of Stidham; however, some of that enthusiasm was curbed when the Steele Curtain met middle-game Bob and Malzahn's play calling left many Auburn fans wishing it was still 2013 err... 2010.

My money is on LSU as your 2017 Offseason Champion. With the impressive hire of Coach 0 and their beloved Tigers defeating Alabama in the national championship, it is hard to see any team surpassing LSU's early lead.

Auburn will have a shot. I would call them a dark horse.

I think after NSD we will see UGA fans making a late push.

But yeah, LSU is the clear leader in the clubhouse.

Alabama is Alabama and if Auburn can find a QB they should return truer to form on offense

I'm............... going to need to see a couple of games on LSU

I have absolutely no idea how the Coach O and Coach Canada show will look

It's going to be hard to dethrone Tennessee. They are 17 years in a row being the off-season/preseason champs.

If only LSU fans actually took pride in winning the offseason. Solid melt though.

I think that ala-shame-a does have a legitimate shot, with such hold-over stalwarts as:
Brian Downing, Justin Ross and LeeAnn Harris, Harvey Updyke, and John Rusty Houser............

Sweet melt

ETA: oh, it's chattadouche. Should have known. Your team blew a 24-14 fourth quarter lead and all you can think about is LSU

As we continue through our second day of gump melt, we see the gumps starting to become delirious and randomly making threads about LSU even though their game with us is 10 months away.

Wait that's not melting, that's just what gumps do.
