It wont make your embarrassing record against Alabama on your home field look any better.

I'm not embarrassed by our record against Bama. We played with integrity all those years. I may not be around to see it but someday we'll even that record.

It took a block in the back on Julio's TD and an interception not called to let Alabama inch by a terrible LSU team with Jordan Jefferson.

Perhaps, but I didn't watch the game. I've seen this call mentioned numerous times, but from the stats, it seems like LSU deserved to lose. Alabama had 199 more total yards and 9 more first downs. You let Alabama get over 140 yards rushing and couldn't top 100 yards rushing yourself. Save 1/9/12, the games have always been close regardless of how bad the team was, e.g. the 2007 matchup, though LSU wasn't a world beater that year. It's good that they won because it sucks when the clearly better team loses the game; in the case of 2009, I mean better as in the regular season. I understand that Alabama did not look so hot in the game.

I've said several times before, but I have us losing to UGA, and that Ole Miss scares me more than Bama and A&M this year

I've stated a few times that your season may hinge on the Georgia game. If you come out of Athens undefeated, then you should be excited. LSU fans should not be as worried about Florida, Alabama, and Texas A&M if they can get past Georgia. You've got Alabama in Tuscaloosa where you've historically had decent success. You fare better in Tuscaloosa than you do at home. Florida's offense remains unproven, but if you can shut down Georgia's offense, then you should be able to shut down Florida's too. Florida's offense could improve significantly, but I doubt you'll meet many who seriously expect Florida's offense to be among elite company next year.

You've got Alabama and Texas A&M after bye weeks in November. Barring significant injuries and/or suspensions, your team should be "complete" in November.

Bottom line: Beat Georgia!

Alabama is 25-9 in TS, 10-9 in Tuscaloosa, 8-5 in Birmingham. Bama holds the series at all 3 major venues.

I don't think UGA is the key game. We can lose to them and still compete for championships. It will be a tough test though for the new starters on defense.
with the byes and us being a better team this IMO, we should be able to beat A&M and Bama. Ole Miss I think could be tough with it being a road game, and them being improved too and them outplaying us for most of the game last year.

True, with your schedule you could lose to the Bulldogs and still be in the hunt for the last BCSNCG. I just think that if y'all are undefeated, then you can raise your hopes a little. If I were an LSU fan, and LSU lost to Georgia, then I would just let the season play out with a neutral attitude. It will be a tough test for the new starters, but LSU will have a few games to gel and iron out a few wrinkles in the offense. What aspect of Georgia has you concerned besides it being an away game? They essentially have as many questions as you. Will Georgia be able to slow down LSU's running game for 4 quarters? I'd be surprised if a healthy LSU struggled to defend Georgia's passing attack. As usual for a typical SEC contest, the ground game and line play will be big. Which team can run the ball better? I don't follow LSU, but is your offensive line supposed to be good this year?

I do agree, if we can beat UGA we can raise our hopes.
I think what worries me about UGA is it being the first SEC road game, and all new starters on defense, while their offense should still be very strong. They lose a lot on defense too, but we could still be going through growing pains on offense with the new OC. I think those things will be worked out by the time we get to the top teams in the West.
Jeremy Hill is another question too.

LSU is 9-25-2 against Alabama in Baton Rouge.

Tiger Stadium, where Alabama goes to kill LSU's dreams.

Ah yes, that's a big one. His big runs really helped you out versus South Carolina, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, and Clemson. I guess he had a knack for making explosive plays when LSU needed help. That can be difficult to replace. We will see. Do you think he'll be dismissed from the team?
