207 of his 467 return yards (and 1 of his 1 touchdowns) were against Kentucky and Vanderbilt.

So what?

Half of Cyrus's touchdowns came against Charleston Southern. Cyrus only had two games all year where he averaged more than 18 ypr (Cam's season avg.)

Jones is very good. Sutton is just better

Your guy had plenty of teams, including against very bad special teams, to do that against and didn't.

Yea, he had a big game against Charleston Southern. But no, we don't play anyone in league as bad as Kentucky or Vanderbilt (or Missouri, or South Carolina), so we didn't get the same half of our SEC schedule being terrible pad your stats type games that you guys did.

honest to god, our second and third string DEs are probably better than anything we've had on the DL in 6 or 7 years.

They really are and probably further back than 6-7. The talent at DE is insane.

Strangely enough that's the one Bama or Tennessee game I haven't seen a single snap of.

You sure about that because we're talking about SPECIAL TEAMS.

Just let him have it. It might be enough to stop him from beating his dog today.

If you wanna see Coker get sacked 4 times and a young team play some damn good defense, it's worth watching. A lot of guys stepped up that game and a few of them were seeing their first substantial snaps due to injuries to starters.

Cyrus Jones and Cam Sutton are both very good return men. Take your pick, both will get you yards and scores.

Doesn't really matter, one is gone and the other comes back next season.

And the other half were on the road against Mississippi State to jumpstart us and in the Cotton Bowl to put the nail in Michigan State's coffin.

I think we were both pretty happy with our guys. Sutton was more explosive in more games (against bad teams) and Cyrus had bigger plays that effected bigger games for us.

Do bad teams magically have better special teams than good ones? Am I missing something here?

I believe Kamara is a better punt returner than Sutton.

Now I know you're high on Natty Lite. Of course, special teams are different - the two title contenders had terrible special teams play. And bad teams very often have good special teams. Special teams are a different phase of the game and one where bad teams can be very good.
