Most people here would still have a different reaction if it was someone from their own school. That is why their criticism shouldn't be taken seriously

But I thought it was about race??????

Russell Wilson is a black quarterback in the NFL. I respect the hell out of that man, for his behavior on and off the field. Is it because he is a black person? No.

Cam Newton is a selfish, classless showboating "ME" player that is as foolish in winning as he is boorish when he loses, like he did last night. Do I feel this way because he is a black person? No.

I am tired of idiots like you trying to score a point off of race when negative postings are made about a person of color.

Try to see that maybe it's about the honor that the player pays towards the game instead of the color of his skin.

What on earth has his color got to do with anything?

Some dislike him because he went to Auburn.
Some dislike him because of the controversy of how he went to Auburn.
Some dislike him because of the way he upstages his teammates.
Some dislike him because he crumbles under adversity.
Some disliked his antics in the endzone when he got hit.
Some dislike him because of how he handled the postgame interview.

Crap.....do you think those same people dislike Johnny Manziel because he is white? It's because of the way they carry themselves and the way they act.

Does it always have to be a race thing?

As a black person, please shut the frick up with this foolishness.

rant posters got "uncomfortable" with Johnny Manziel and Marshall Henderson "having a good time," too.

And I like Cam, and don't have a problem with his showboating, but he carried himself poorly last night. Extremely poorly.

Neither the "discomfort" with him nor the backlash today has anything to do with Cam's race.

Exactly.

Cam don't need to grow up you mislead fans do. And you all must of forgot Tom Brady walk off will doing a interview to all I'm saying is hold everyone to the same standards.

Was Tom Brady not criticized for deflategate? And nobody is criticizing Cam for just the interview....it was the way he handled the entire situation.

I actually felt bad for the guy during the interview. You could see the pain hew as in. It CAN'T be easy to sit and answer a bunch of trite questions while in such pain. But it is a part of the job.EVERY losing QB has to do it after every Super Bowl. As far as I know this is the first time a walk off has happened after a Super Bowl.

Get over it. If the Bengals had made the Super Bowl and started AJ the exact same thing would have happened on this board if they lost.
