Newton's interview with Fowler reminded me a lot of McGuire's interview with Congress.
Newton's "I'm not here to talk about reports" sounded a lot like McGuire's "I'm not here to talk about the past."
And they both sounded guilty as hell.

He looked very uncomfortable. If you don't have anything to hide you come out and say so...he's guilty, his Dad's guilty - but the kid can flat out play some football.

I have to agree.....the only way Cam could have said less is if he would have talked more.
He seems to have regressed in his ability to communicate effectively and succinctly in interviews since earlier this year.
