I've never really had strong feelings about Cam either way, but that interview today showed his unapologetic joy in playing and his pride in who he is. I will probably still root for Peyton to go out on top, but only because I think I'll have plenty of chances to see Cam do amazing things in the pros.

I feel kinda sorry for anyone who can't appreciate what he's doing. And, yeah, this is coming from a guy with a Nov 2010 join date.

Good post.

I imagine some Bama fans are really conflicted about this game considering the 2 quarterbacks. Might have to do with their age if they dislike Peyton or Cam more.

That was a really good interview. I hope he wins a super bowl, just not this one

I don't dislike either more.

My level of melt was much higher regarding Peyton early though. He destroyed us for 3 years and we had nothing else to fall back on. We followed up the Camback with 3 national titles in 5 years.

The vitriol aimed at Cam is hard to understand. It says a lot about the psyche of our world and less about Cam.

I don't care where they played in college. I really don't. Manning is one of the greatest of all time, and Cam has a chance to be. I'm a fan of great players. Holding grudges about the way kids act in college or the teams they played for is childish.

Come on now you know if Cam had played for Bama Many Auburn fans would run him down every chance they get.

Ehh once you become such a badass like Cam (or Manning or Namath) you just have to accept it and appreciate their abilities.

I can appreciate how he can still let a sidewalk fan get under his skin and make him walk away sulking.
