Yeah, his adopted father sounds like a real a-hole.

Winston says he's not an Alabama fan, but he likes the way the Crimson Tide staff approaches the game. "They stick to business. You don't see their coaches high-fiving," Winston said.

He certainly is coming off as one. Support your kids choice instead of looking like an A hole. So what if your son wants to go to where they're actually having fun and not just "business".

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see him flipping again. Something big happened for him to change his mind over one weekend and I don't think we will get him back.

So his dad is mad that Brent isn't honoring his previous commitment to UA.....so he wants Brent to back out of his current commitment to Auburn so that he can recommit to UA

In other words, it's wrong to break a commitment, so break your current commitment so you can honor your previous commitment

what a stupid thing for his dad to make public... even if you're questioning your child's decision, why on earth would you tell it to a reporter?

he's not on cecil's level of douche parenting, but there's still time...

Or maybe he is. Perhaps his son didn't know about a deal his father already made with Bama and by changing to Auburn he loses the deal or might have to return some funds.

Or maybe he's acting like a parent and believes his best future interests lie somewhere else. He said he would support him at Auburn, he just felt his chances at the NFL lay better with Bama.

Yes, thankfully he stated to the reporter that he was still willing to root for his son.

parents don't publicly undermine their high schooler's in the newspapers... parents talk to their kids about their decisions privately.

at least good parents would anyway.
