Bama's ownage isn't what messed them up. Before Nick Saban came along LSU had practically given up on football or at best, assumed they would always be average. They got the best coach in the nation and won a national title.
Even the most upbeat LSU fan never thought they'd win that. Now he's at Bama and that has been impossible to deal with.
Bama winning 5 in a row isn't the issue. it's winning 5 in a row with Saban as our coach.
The 2007 game, I'd never seen that many LSU folks in Ttown. Since I had been going in the 70's LSU, at most, would bring like 5K. Sometimes even less. They brought a crowd like Tennessee brings (15K) to see LSU to play a 6-6 Bama team? No, to see LSU beat Saban.
That's what this game is about. It's not Alabama, or the number one rank, blah blah. It's still about Saban.
