Gotta love Cal, he has told this team multiple times he hopes they lose when they are playing bad. My favorite was the fist pumping fit when LSU took the lead after Towns got the technical.

He's good at finding a way to get into his players head - and with a group of teenagers that's no small feat.

Vols are so conditioned to being poor. We wouldn't insult our NBA-in-waiting players with a 10% raise. It's a new Escalade for everybody and a 25% raise, son.

There's no excuse for losing to auburn or Carolina. Lack of focus pure and simple

But that doesn't mean that our team sucks. It means we lost to sucky teams that day.

Basketball season is 30 games, you know what you are based on your whole resume, not 1 or 3 games. Had we held on the last 5 minutes and beat UK, which would cancel out which, the huge uk win or the bad au/sc losses?

Anyone referencing the au/sc games and saying that is the reason that we suck is simply trolling or has absolutely zero critical thinking skills.

To be fair, he's the one that recruited a team that deep that he could throw that out to.

I just find it hilarious that he busted out Young Jeezy lyrics.

Truth be told, I despised Cal for the longest time. Yes, he is a bit shady with recruits, but who isn't? I find myself liking him more and more after watching him in interviews. The guy carries himself well and is a superb players coach.

He's also a social animal. He's selling the UK program constantly. He sells his techniques for developing players, too, of course, but he makes sure his recruits know what they're going to be facing when they come to UK.

With a couple of breaks (such as a brand new volcano opening up in Storrs, Connecticut in 2011), Coach could have three natties instead of one. Hopefully this year will be his second.
