Buy, but I'd put La just a half step in front. Both states kick arse in this category, per capita. Can't forget AL either.

6 post and already been corrected

6 posts because 25% of the posts on this board are someone being a smart arse, another 25% is cajuns being cajuns, another 25% is someone trying to correct someone and then maybeeee the last 25% is actual conversation about sports.

And it would be 6 POSTS, you know like the plural form of post.

any reasonable answer as to why Tennessee and Arkansas seem to not have as many athletes as the other Southeastern states?

2nd most and it's really magnified by the amount of national championships your universities have....wait...nevermind.

I think I'm picking up what you're putting down.

I don't think the amount of National Championships is relevant to the discussion. I'm talking athletes born in the state per capita. Now if we were talking about who has the most booster money, amount of National Championships might be a relevant discussion piece.

LSU is very lucky to have stepped in to a perfect storm that makes them a national championship contender year in year out. They are the only SEC team in state and cherry pick whoever they want every year, unless Saban wants a LA recruit of course. They have the city of New Orleans that shits out more D1 athletes than any other area in the Southeast. These two variables created a winning tradition which in turn created expectations, which in turn made boosters hungry for wins, which in turn created a boat load of money to split between recruiting, facilities, coaches and stadium expansions. Good recruits+good facilities+good coaches+bad arse stadium= national championships.

A side question would be, why does Arkansas's Athlete pool seem to be so shitty year in and year out?
2.9 million people....77% slow white people.

Tennessee home of the non-athletic toothless hillbillies needs to stay out of this debate.

Do you know what per capita means? Our population is not suited for two major schools. If we were like Arkansas or even Tennessee, and we had one dominant school we wouldn't be stopped.
