Buy or Sell: The Egg Bowl will be the most hate-filled rivalry game in CFB this season

With the recent developments with Freeze and Steve Robertson rumored to be one of the main guys that brought him down, along with the Rebel Rags lawsuit with MSU players Leo Lewis and Kobe Jones, I'm definitely buying. I expect things to get scrappy in Starkville on thanksgiving night

Would be glorious if Nutt showed up on the State sideline

That involves actually playing the Egg Bowl. Hold your horses.

Kind of hard to have the game when OM won't have a team next year

Exactly. Good point.

If you have a SEC bias but if you try to look at the entire country then no.
It will be Utah/BYU Sept. 9th.
The Holy War is at a Fever Pitch because BYU's football program is pretty much become what A&M tried to do with UT.
Since Utah joined the PAC 12 BYU has become irrelevant and this is a change in the past.
Very few rivalries have positions change. Once a big brother always a big brother or certain rivalries like UGA/ Auburn is always competitive

The tailgating scene is going to be vicious

It will be like every other one...no one outside of Mississippi will care at all.

In hate factor Egg Bowl may be the nastiest rivalry these days.

It would be especially sour if the Rebs somehow fire off a devastating shot against State, leaving both teams floundering.
A MAD scenario, Khan vs. Kirk.

Meh.
All true rivals hate each other.
You reach a point of hatred saturation where the needle no longer moves.
The Egg Bowl involves your team, so your feelings are certainly understandable.
But I'm bettin' there's a Michigan fan who thinks he hates OSU more.
And/or a USC fan who'd enjoy burning Notre Dame Stadium to the ground.
Then there are the scores of fans from former Southwest Conference teams whose universities literally turned-in each other to the media/NCAA, thereby destroying the conference.
It's just another season.

Sell: LSU is their real rival

Nah. All will be forgiven and forgotten by then. Freeze will lead the mid-field prayer, Bjork will sing the anthem...and Les will win the game on a gutty 4th down play.
Smiles all around

Not as long as I'm sitting in the stadium during the Iron Bowl.

Your bias is unbelievable.
Here is a lesson about Utah. It was a Mormon state for a long time pretty much the Saudi Arabia of the US. In small towns in Utah you had Mormon owned businesses and you had non Mormon owned businesses so if you were a Mormon you never went to a store owned by a non Mormon
There is a joke in Utah about the guy who took
his child to baseball practice to find out it was cancelled. Wondering what was going on he called the coach and asked the coach what happen. The coach being Morman and the rest of the team being Morman asked him if he was at church on Sunday because he said in church that practice would be cancelled
To make my point U of Utah represents the rest of Utah the rest of Utah now is more powerful than Mormon Utah. Mormon Utah doesn't like that.
It is the Zoobs vs the Sinners

Bama - Boogs was at one time. But they have given up trying to beat their daddy. They have no chance and they know it.
