The only thing Butch has proved as a coach is that he can recruit and beat less talented teams. Does he have one signature win at Tennessee yet?

Edit: With that said, he is still a top 5 coach in the SEC. He just needs a little time to work on his coaching. Same can be said for several other younger SEC coaches.

He can't coach. The only thing he does well is sign 5,351 players each recruiting cycle.

I'm not sure if that skill set translates to the NFL.

If Butch is bolting to the NFL then that means that Shoop is here to take the vacant HC position, win win

If Butch is such a bad coach, wouldn't you guys want him to stay? If this rumor was true (and I HIGHLY doubt it is) you should feel sad, right?

Does beating a #10 USCe team at home with a completely barren roster not count as a 'signature' win?

This seems to be the newest recruiting ploy of competing fans. Throw out rumors that someone else's coach is interviewing for the NFL and hope it has legs.

I consider both of the bowl game to be signature wins. Not because they were elite teams, but because of how thoroughly we dominated games that were thought to be close contests coming in. It is ironic though how the best team we've beaten in the CBJ era came in a year where we were basically total trash. That SC team finished #4 in the nation.

Dr. Dolly is sad. She wants Butch to stay and finish the national dominance he's started. Don't let him leave, brother.

Domination is the key word here. Butch has it loaded over there. Will likely dominate the SEC in the near future.
