It's the process, bra

Team is old enough to win now. He HAS to win now.

really don't understand how Tennessee fans think he's the answer.

The only thing he's proven to me is that he can recruit. I've been willing to give him the benefit of the doubt given the situation he walked into, but my patience is wearing thin.

Clearly there is an issue if he's on class number 3 and still traveling so many new guys. I get it when you follow Dooley and have to basically flip the entire roster to get decent players, but his first class are juniors now. He's also had massive classes, so why is he traveling so many first-timers? I totally understand the lack of seniors though. Just strange.

Butch has found the Fountain of Youth. Every year his team gets younger and younger.

We had a RS Freshman at RT, a true freshman at LG, and a RS Freshman at RG against one of the best DLines in the country last week. On the road. Still won.

Suck it up, buttercup.

He's had 2 large classes, whom would be freshmen or sophomores this year. His first class wasn't very large, in fact, I think Vandy had a higher rated class than UT did in 2013. So I'm not sure what's so confusing to the SECrant, AKA fricktardia, regarding the youth of this team?

What year did he sign about 40? I thought that was 3 years ago.

Hugh Freeze walked into an even worse situation than Jones and had his team in the top 4 during his third year, with a win over Alabama.

Youth excuses only get him so far.

I know you agree with that so this isn't really directed at you, just giving a similar situation for comparison to Jones's.

Yeah, the youth card gets old. Nick Saban had LSU in the Sugar Bowl in his second season and in a BCS title in the fourth year. That was after two losing seasons in '98 and '99 by DiNardo.

I saw a chart not too long ago that basically showed a program turns the corner no later than the third year with a competent coach. Anything longer than that, and the guy usually isn't going to get it done.

Being young isn't the reason Tennessee blew a lead at Oklahoma. It wasn't the reason they blew a second-half lead to an average Florida team at home last year. It falls on the head coach to quit making excuses for poor gameday coaching and start winning some games that mean something.

Top 4 for now, Houston Nutt did too. Still plenty of time for Beaver Face to collapse the season.

I was talking about last season.

And even with the late season collapse he had still done more in year 3 than Butch has.

No, that was last year. And it was 396 we signed, not 40.

Big Loss Lyle has brought the talent in, no lie. He can't overcome his own arse coaching. He chokes more than a Derek Dooley-led squad with 12 players on the field.

VU... #26... 27 players...
