His psychology just doesn't tolerate being the Front-Runner.
He's a diminutive little fella with a life-long chip on his shoulder.
He wants to prove he's a big boy.
Once he's acknowledged as THE alpha-male, he loses all enjoyment.
It's not that he can't maintain, it that "maintaining" is just cold comfort.
He NEEDS a new challenge every 5/6 years to feel revitalized.
We all know guys like this.
He's just on a bigger stage.
And he knows there is an even bigger stage.
One that has already made his arse quit....
So what does he do, ride it out or take the challenge his psychology requires....?

"It's a lot more fun when you're sort of building than when you're just trying to keep it that way," Saban said. "It's a lot more fun when you're just starting out. They don't have that expectation, so you're kind of exceeding expectations with every win. It's a lot more fun, but you can't focus on that and get your players to play the best they can and get them to understand that they control the way they play. They don't control the rest of it. So let's focus on what we control."

Not exactly what the OP said in his short sentence.

No, not at all - but it's all I could find. I thought I'd help the new guy out a little.

So does this mean Saban is going to Tennessee or Auburn?

Nope. Arkansas.
