That salary number is a one year deal b/c of a deferred annuity payment of $800k from a contract he signed in 2009. His actual per year salary is just under $570k which puts him in the mid 40s for assistant pay.

That and the tidbit that LSU pays their coaches more than us was the best part of the article.
