For Arkansas, we could go to Memphis and get whoever we wanted. I'm assuming other SEC programs had access to Memphis for their top players.
Today? Not so much. Arkansas can't get the basketball series started back up with Memphis St. with out a 3-1 football deal with Arkansas getting the 1 home game, that isn't going to happen.

Didn't the NBA draft use to be longer than 2 rounds? When there is only about 60 guys drafted and 20 of them are from Kentucky not a lot of draft slots for the rest of us

Two rounds started a couple of years before Arkansas joined.
If I remember correctly, Bama had the second most players behind UNC in NBA at some time in the early/mid 90's
