If he does well wouldn't that be a sign he's ready for a true Baseketball school? If he produces at AU like we all think he will, I can't see him staying past year 4

Problem is, true basketball schools dont have a lot of coaching turnover.

UT has never been a true basketball school, and there's no doubt in my mind he never would have left knoxville had things not happened like they did. if he can create a culture at auburn anything like he did at UT, i think he'll be there quite awhile.

Is he looking for money (we are paying him well and would no doubt pay him more if he is extremely successful) or the prestige of an upper tier team?

I really am asking the question, I don't know.

He has all the support he could want, the nice facilities, and money at Auburn. The only thing I can think of is that we don't have is any solid history in the sport.

I could see him wanting to leave if he see's no way to turn Auburn around. The upside is that if he is able to, he will be a legend at the school forever.

It really doesnt matter what his demand would have been if he wasn't blackballed. He is in this contract now and if he turns basketball into a money making sport for AU then we will no doubt pay him more for his success.

ETA: just realized you thought 2.2 was the total for 6 years. Still, we will pay him for what he is worth if he is successful.

his entire contract pays him almost as much as what he made per year at Tennessee.
