Yea, no way Alabama should be on this list. I expect us to have solid rushing output because we always do, but nothing the in the backfield is anywhere near proven. At all.

Why didn't the backups get more carries last year for Bama?

Well, Drake averaged 5-6 carries a game and Harris 3-4 carries. So, our backups combined averaged around 10 a game. However, as the season wore on they didn't want Drake to be pounding and Harris seemed to lose confidence and wasn't real effective. Bo was coming suspension/injury.

Drake/Harris/Scarbrough : 9.40 carries per game
Guice/Williams : 9.25 carries per game

Fournette : 25 carries per game
Henry : 26 carries per game

So really, our overall and 1st team vs backups carries averages were almost identical.

1-6 are interchangeable, IMO. Lots of talent and depth on every team in that group.

Oregon will be able to use the depth in the slot. Taj Griffin and Tony Brook-James will be nightmares.

I can think of one for Stanford and one for FSU but who else? I'm not sure about OU but they often have a good tandem so I give them the benefit of the doubt. However, I'd put UT and even UGA with injuries in the top 3 if we're truly talking tandems.

FSU's Cook may actually be the best RB in CFB right now although it's debatable and I haven't decided between him and Fournette and/or Chubb but damn I do like his style although he suffers for not facing stiffer DLs. McCaffery is a beast but I wonder how he'd be if he 1. wasn't given so much credit for APY when ranking him as an RB and 2. played better DLs. I feel he's very good but just don't know how good. BUT as a Heisman hopeful those All Purpose Yards matter, imo.

That said, despite those quibbles it's not a bad list at all, especially t the upper end.
