Steve and Urban says their players are innocent.
Why hasn't Kevin stepped up and covered his boys back?

The brokers have a big axe to grind. Their business on ebay was completely shut down for 2 weeks earlier this year without warning due to the Manziel's trademarking the name "Johnny Football".

I guess I just still don't understand the motivation behind the broker going public. I would think that the folks who would pay for some of this stuff are Aggie fans. Why would Aggie fans want to buy the signed helmets that Johnny was investigated for by the NCAA.

Do you think the broker wanted to get some more stuff signed and Johnny said "no" so he turned his recorded information over to the press?

Does Johnny signing these helmets and the NCAA investigating make the helmets more valuable on the open market.

Pardon me for my ignorance but I really don't know how selling signed stuff works. I don't buy stuff like that but have watched Pawn Stars a few times.

It was mostly letters, but at one point, when asked why the investigation was taking so long, someone from the NCAA (probably Julie) noted they had received over 20,000 tips, leads, items of interest or whatever from the state of Alabama that they had to follow up on.

Was a good example of just how pitiful the bama fanbase really is as a whole IMO.

It's impressive how Auburn people manage to convince themselves that Bama is the bad in guy in the situation where they paid for a national title.

It is often comical how poorly bama fans are able to handle the realities of their fan base when confronted with them.

The Cam stuff and the gumps going beserk is a good example as is the hypocrisy between the A&M attacks when their star players were doing the same thing recently.

Gives me a chuckle anyway.

I doubt very seriously that 20,000 people called the NCAA and started off the conversation, "Hello, Mr. Emmert. I'm a Bama fan..."

So (a) do you have a link, or is this something you just pulled out of your arse, and (b) are you really that clueless about how many MSU alums there are in the state of Alabama, as well as Ole Miss, LSU, UGA, and others that wanted to see Auburn fry...and not to mention ordinary fans of those schools?

Never mind...I already know the answers to both questions.

Personally I wish this type thing would be made legal. The schools make a ton of money off these players. They will come down hard an any player making a dime from his hard work. Reminds me of the dope trade. The police only go after the man trying to cut into the big time dealers profit. We want Texas A&M to be full strength when we play them. This is not good news for our conference or the game. Just make it all go away.

Find it yourself. I'm not here to hold your hand.

Bama fans lost their minds when AU won the NC. The NCAA made a statement in regards to how long the investigation was taking due to them having to follow up on thousands and thousands of "leads" from the state of Alabama.

Do you need an exact number to quantify how fricking crazy the overall bama fanbase is? I believe it was 20,000. Go find it yourself though. The number the NCAA spokesperson quoted is out there somewhere and I doubt you are employed, so happy hunting!

Just made up B.S. just like I thought, another barner myth like you sell out your season football tickets, your school has high academics standards and is hard to get into.
BTW: MSU was the one that started the cam crap so did you forget that part?

So you believe that "20,000 Alabama fans" contacted the NCAA with tips and leads about Cam Newton? C'mon man. Like ppl don't have better things to do than make shite up about about Cam Newton.

Do you dispute the fact the auburns incoming classes have higher academics than alabama?

Have never really seen this claimed ever, but fun fact up until 2009 or 10 auburn sold more season tickets than bama

I don't believe it was 20,000 alabama fans, but if I recall it was 20k tips or something like that.

Which is what I said in my post.

Doesn't matter though. Everyone knows how a very large portion the bama fan base lost its mind and embarrassed itself. Updyke was more the rule than the exception for a while.

Well, didn't the AU board created on tidefans have over a million posts before it was taken down?

And during that time, apparently people did not have anything better to do.
