He did pretty well against Bama earlier this season.

8 IP, 4 hits, 1 ER, 0 walks and 4 K's. All with only 94 pitches.

Seems like a fair trade. Both are sports that cater to middle class white boys. The only difference is in Lacrosse, you can hit people with the bats and are required to run more than 90 feet at a time.

I'm sure it also has to do with days rest from prior schedule and the way the rotation is to be set up going forward. I don't think that anyone is "saving" pitchers this time of year.
