Les would never be at a school like Arkansas. Its LSU then Saints job.

Miles as a recruiter is very underrated at times. Plus people are forgetting to consider what he did at Oklahoma State.
I think he could recruit better than Bret at Arkansas and way better than Petrino who was shite for a recruiter. One of the big reasons the hogs sucked last year was Petrino's recruiting in past seasons.

Of course he is, but the Internet is a funny place where things are usually one extreme or the other.

Yeah and Oklahoma State was a great situation.
Since you're here why don't you tell us all about how the top Louisiana recruits aren't actually from Louisiana. Aren't you the same idiot that said over half of last years top ten were transfers from other states? Please drop some knowledge on us

Oklahoma State has a huge Texas pipeline and a billionaire single handidly funding their expansion.
Arkansas has Missouri and Wal-Mart scraps.

Not back then.

Who didn't invest as much until Miles took over and they started winning. He got the ball rolling for them. Even Gundy gives Miles credit for getting the program on the right path. He was only there for 4 years.

Miles can recruit nationwide. They don't have to be 4 stars to be good. His eye for talent has been elite in a lot of ways.

Les Mile' 2003 team had 36 Texas players on scholarship
Sorry, I didn't read past that in your post

Ok, I lied. I kept reading...
Pickens' second biggest donation ever to the school was in 2000.

You'd be wise to not debate Big XII history with an Aggie fan

Link? His second biggest was in 2003 and biggest in 2005. So you're wrong again.

The wheels were set in motion on the multi-faceted, multi-year stadium project when OSU graduate Boone Pickens made the single-largest gift in school history in 2003. His $70 million donation ($20 million of which was earmarked for stadium expansion) spurred the "Next Level Campaign", which generated more than $100 million in gifts and pledges and involved more than 2,500 individuals, making it the single-most successful campaign in OSU history. Pickens capped the fundraising effort in 2005 with his monumental gift of $165 million that will not only benefit Cowboy football, but will aid with the development of OSU's planned multi-million dollar athletic village. The gift is the largest ever received by a university athletic department.

For an aggie fan you sure are off on your big12 history. Not as bad your Louisiana recruiting history though.

Who was the OSU coach in 2005?
It was the second biggest ever up to the point Miles left. He had two massive donations to OSU athletics before Miles ever arrived, one in 1997 and one in 2000.

I said Miles got the ball rolling. He left for LSU that year. His biggest investments came AFTER Miles took over at OSU

Dude you might as well give up

Les boneheaded decisions and play calling at LSU with Bielema. Les would fail miserably at Arkansas without Louisiana talent and backing. John Chavis wouldn't be there to save his arse at Arkansas.
Quick question, at the end of 2004 what was the perceived gap between Arkansas and Oklahoma State nationally?

It would be easier to succeed at LSU than Arkansas. I think Bielema is a pretty good coach so I think he'd do at least reasonably well at LSU. Would he win the SEC or a NC? That's a harder question to answer.

With those Missouri and WMT scraps we whip your sorry arse 70% of the time since your redneck school was founded. My, my you guys are due for some comeuppance. Gonna enjoy watching your program revert to mediocrity.
A&M is a huge short. Enjoy this season, frickn hayseed.

Johnelle Smith at LSU >>>> Les Miles at Ar-kansas.

Miles would've brought Arky their first SEC championship by now.
