I hate schedule threads. LSU fans get pissed at Bama fans basically because Tennessee has become a perennial joke. Alabama has attempted to play a tough OOC game to start every year. When the VT game was scheduled they weren't coming off their worst season in 10+ years.

These threads are pointless. Alabama was screwed a few years ago when they played like 8 straight opponents coming off of byes. LSU feels screwed because they have to play Florida every year. Guess what.....we can't do a damn thing about any of it besides bitch.

As much as you hate to believe it, but Saban voted to help try to fix this. None of your coaches did. If you have anyone to be pissed at about Bama's schedule, it is Tennessee. Maybe if they had kept fat Phil around the series would still be competitive.

Excellent post. I think we should go to 9 games.

Also torn on the Florida topic. It's my second favorite game now that bama is good again. Used to be no 1.

If lsu didn't play Florida annually we might have 2 more sec titles.

Fact.

Truth is I only posted this to pick fun at the LSU friends of mine because they cry so much about it. I think you should worry more about winning and the games in the West and it should work out for you. I know it happened to USCe but chances are slim that you win all of your div games and not make the SECCG. Exp in the west.

Wasn't Nick Saban the only coach to vote for playing 9 league games. Seems like he wants to change things up a bit.

Why, so you can play the bottom 3 in the SEC east instead of just the bottom 2?

and so has LSU. Hell in 2011, we played TWO tough OOC games. The Rose Bowl Champs in Oregon.
The Orange Bowl champs in WVU.

Yes, that's got to be the only criteria for schedule difficulty, playing the east champ. The reason LSU rarely plays the East champ is because they usually beat the East team and then they don't have a chance to win the division. South Carolina could have won the East if they had played an easy west opponent instead of LSU.

Say we played Missouri and not at Florida last year. We would have win the west. But I don't want to lose Florida. I want 9 games

FYI it was only six teams. In regards to bama's three SEC losses that year.

The cocks just kicked their arse.

bama and LSU both had bye weeks before our game. No advantage for LSU, tigers won.

bama had a thursday nite game the week before the iron bowl. It was a team in their fist year of D1 football. No real advantage for auburn, again tigers win.

bama bitched about all those bye weeks. Situation was addressd. Not going to happen again.

All I know about these cross division games is that the ONLY two times saban has faced two of top three from the east in the same season bama has finished fourth and fifth in the west.
