Maybe next LSU coach relishes opportunity to compete against the best dynasty the modern era has ever seen.

He hasn't proven he is worth more than 4mil/year imo, and that would be on the high side.

If he is making $3M now and has been offered a 7 figure increase at Houston, LSU will probably have to offer $5M plus. That is nuts for an unproven American Athletic Conference coach with losses to SMU and Navy. It will probably take a 5 year contract. LSU needs to step back and think about the road they are going down. LSU won't be able to afford to fire Herman and will guarantee Bama dominance in the west for years to come. A lame duck mediocre LSU program that is stuck with an over paid coach it can't fire is an excuse for prized Louisiana recruits to go to Tuscaloosa.

Herman Sweepstakes The rumors fly like crazy and when Herman sees that the cajuns are the craziest of the crazy, he will tell agent that he is accepting Houston's offer, and the purple and gold will call him every name under the sun.

Or if he accepts LSUs offer...the first L will spark a pitchfork & lynch mob at his house that I hope is gated.

I'm pretty sure that Houston was in the top 4 and being considered a playoff contender before they lost a game.

edit: So was Louisville

Yeah. Jimbo showed you two years in a row how he's chomping at the bit to take LSU up against the West.

In the last 10 years, the best coach in LSU history had a losing record against the combination of Arkansas, Alabama, and Ole Miss.

Yeah but LSU was in the talks of making the sugar bowl, on the tiger rant.
