Nice work!

Thanks.

Connelly and the Football Outsider guys put everything together, I just copy and paste. They do a fantastic job with all these new stats and they are extremely interesting.

Out of all the work he put into that you post to criticize that? What a dick .

I wasn't trying to criticize, just saying they aren't all at the same time.

The two most hyped aren't even overlapping. Just sayin'

non taken

However, I would put MSU-UK as my #4 game of that group. Though, I am a Bammer and my guess is most non-Bammers/Vols would put our game 4th.

When I make bets for weekends I look at 8 categories that are similar to figure out if I feel comfortable betting against the spread:

1.
Team A Rush Defense
vs.
Team B Rush Offense

2.
Team B Rush Defense
vs.
Team A Rush Offense

3.
Team A Pass Defense
vs.
Team B Pass Offense

4.
Team B Rush Defense
vs.
Team A Rush Offense

5. SOS/record

6. Home field advantage historically for home team and most notably in the current and previous season.

7. Major injuries

8. Records ATS current year and previous year.

Makes sense - I really enjoy looking at the F+ and ESPN FPI stuff as the season progresses and enough data exists to come up with real expectations.

Connelly's F+ picks every week are really interesting over at footballstudyhall.

I think the way Freeze has adjusted his style and pace of play to win games is pretty impressive. He's a guru offensively and he made the decision that Ole Miss had a better chance to win most games by slowing down compared to what I am sure he really wants to do.

This needs to be plastered across tRant. Holy shite. You're the first non-OM poster I've seen who knows enough about football to recognize this.

Our offense is not without it's concerns, but so many people looking on from the outside have unjustly criticized out offense this year for not being very prolific. The thing they're ignoring is that they haven't had to be! Freeze realizes this and has even come out and said as much.

"Until something changes we're going to play to the strength of our team - and that's our defense." - Hugh Freeze

He knows our D will win games if he lets them. He has to allow them to stay fresh, though, and that means slowing the offense down and playing conservatively. We don't have to drive the field and score every drive.

If the time arises that he thinks we need to push tempo and score he will.

Yep. I fully believe that is the reason you won the Alabama game. A few more quick 3 and outs and I think we pop a few and get into the endzone and win that game. He knew that if he was patient that you guys might eventually get something going, but that your D would keep you around. And when you have playakers on offense that's all you need.
