Maybe... It won't mean anything if he can't hit the broad side of a barn
He needs to just improve on the short-medium yardage passes and being able to walk up to the line and quickly read that defense.

Will he?

If he can't get it done, then Etling will take over.

If we can get through this season, help is on the way in real QB's that can throw the ball. (DBPP'ers Myles Brennan in 16 and Zadock Dinklelman in 17)

Naturally, this Harris statement was absent from the media's quotes at the Manning Passing Academy and taken out of context:

"That's the mindset you want to have. You talk to (Oklahoma quarterback) Baker Mayfield, you talk to any of the quarterbacks out here. I tell all the (campers), I don't care if you're small, I don't care if you're big, tall or anything, if you're not carrying confidence, you can't be what you set out to be. You just have to stay confident."

Harris has heard his fair share of detractors during his two seasons at LSU, and he's doing his best to tune them out and focus on the season.

"I hear it all the time, and the majority of people don't know what they're talking about," Harris said. "I really do feel like I have the best arm in college football, and I feel like I have the best team in college football.

I was at the MPA air it out exhibition yesterday....Harris looks horrible Every SEC team that had a QB there looked way better.

Okay so why was he so bad? What part of his throwing was horrible? You can't just leave it at this.

I am one of the believers that Harris will be on a very short leash. Miles will have no room to take any chances. If he struggles early, look to see Etling getting the first look and if he struggles then it will be McMillan. Some have said Justin McMillan has looked the best out of all the three. At 6'2 195 this lefty really does have all the tools. Can wing it, is very accurate and is very mobile. I don't think we can go past these 3 because I don't think Scott will be ready as a true freshman.

There is no way Miles can gamble this season on a so so Harris.

From what i understand, it is supposed to be similar to the story of last finals about how lebron carried his team to game 6 without any help. At least that is what Bleacher Report says

Also the take of the talking heads on Sirius College Sports. They saw it as Harris displaying confidence in his abilities and his team, after admitting in the same interview that he was at times awful last year. They also confirmed that Harris played the final four and a half games with a sports hernia which was surgically repaired in January.

Surely you don't believe this will happen, do you? There is no way that Etling is playing this year without injury. Harris will be our QB all year.

But he would gamble playing second or third string guys if Harris has a bad game or two? His career would be done if he put in Etling and he was no better.

You won't have to worry about the backups playing outside of garbage time in all the blowouts. It's clear to anyone who knows anything about football that Brandon Harris is the truth. Best arm in America, best team in America and it's really not even close. I'd give my left nut to have the kid on the Bama team this year.

Honestly, I doubt there is any team in the SEC that would trade their starter or projected starter or presumptive starter this year for Brandon Harris. Not even Auburn, Florida, Arkansas, A&M, or Vanderbilt or teams with no highly hyped QB. That doesn't mean that he is the worst QB in the conference, just that no one has confidence that he can or will improve, and he was pretty average (at best) last year.

You just don't know greatness when you see it. He's the best, if you don't believe it just ask him....

That's pretty harsh. This entire thread was not meant to be taken too seriously you'd think. It's all in good fun. At least you guys have a returning starter with real experience. Our best option may be a true freshman that will get redshirted regardless. Lighten up dude.
