Great coaches adapt as the game changes, I remember when Cholly Mac beat the Bear back to back in 69 and 70 and the sports magazines came out with the student passed the teacher, the bear goes to Texas and spends some time with Darryl Royal and comes back with the wishbone and then beat our arse for the next 10 years, Saban may look miserable but he loves coaching.

Bama was in the playoff last year and the game has passed him by?

And that's why Alabama will slowly transition into the HUNH. He's too good of a coach to stubbornly ignore that the game is changing.

OMG Saban hasn't won a national championship in three years. Time to retire I suppose.

"He would be great in the booth"? Mr. Personality? He detests the media, beyond those in Alabama, as he can not control them. So he would want to work for a national media company? And as for Brando, many think he is liked in La., Baton Rouge in particular, but his reputation here is below swamp level. He's a clown.

Saban would be a great color commentator. He hates reporters, but always seems to have a great time around the TV guys.

He likes the national guys a lot more than he does the local media.

He always looks more at ease talking about other teams than he does his own.

Brando going all-out homer has cost him in his career. It's not that hard to be semi-neutral, but he loses it - every year.

Brando said the game has passed Saban by and he'd do better as an influential voice in the booth.

Isn't Brando from Louisiana? Typical.

"They're not the team they used to be."

Yeah we don't win the national championship every single year. We're having to settle for these super shitty 11/12 win seasons, SEC titles, and top 10 finishes.

Program has gone right down the shitter.

Saban as Saban in the booth?

"You know Jesse that may be one of the dumbest comments I've ever heard anyone make."

yea I could go for some of that, but no, will never happen.

Brando is an idiot. I will say that I am not a huge fan a lil Nick personally but I respect him as a coach. He is going to go down as one of the all time greats. I do hope that he hangs it up on a high note. It would suck for him to stay to long and end up like Bowden or brown

How ironic...Brando calling out someone for being "passed by".

Brando is washed up and bitter... Dude hates those who succeed.
