Fringe SEC teams

quote:

•Mississippi State (Vegas win projection, 7): 65 percent chance at reaching bowl
•South Carolina (Vegas win projection, 7): 60 percent chance at reaching bowl
•Florida (Vegas win projection, 7): 50 percent chance at reaching bowl
•Kentucky (Vegas win projection, 5): 40 percent chance at reaching bowl
•Vanderbilt (Vegas win projection, 3): 5 percent chance at reaching bowl

Wow they're considering FL, USC & State as fringe teams.

Tough schedule for us, down year last year... but we haven't had less than 6 wins since 2003. I'm not worried about just not making it to a bowl.

well you have Clemson and UCF which aren't auto wins and the gatahs have FSU.. so you all don't have those easy 4 OOC wins like some of us!

Is this surprising?

State loses most of its team from 2014.

South Carolina is still rebuilding.

Florida has no depth on offense.

Kentucky is Kentucky. (Will be better than Florida and SCAR in the east)

Vanderbilt.... :( poor Vandy.

I think it's meaning fringe as in their outlook for competing in their divisions in the '15 season. But to be honest the only team that wouldn't fit being a fringe team in the context you're giving it is UF.

didn't USC only win 6 games(not counting bowl) last year? it's "what have you done lately", unless you're Mizzou of course.. then even that doesn't matter.

Florida will be lucky to beat Vandy this year. They'll lose to Kentucky and Tennessee and finish 5-7 or 4-8 depending on whether or not they beat fsu.

to be fair, this is not Saturday Down South calling these teams fringe teams. Looks like it based solely on teams the Vegas projection for wins is 7 or less
