I only hope that LSU runs into a Big 12 team with no defense. Maybe our offense will have a chance to not suck as much. I kind of trust the defense to stop a Big 12 offense. We will know for sure after the A&M game.

Something tells me Arkansas won't be making one either.

Have any of you Cock fans watched Okie Lite lately? That offense is atrocious even against Big XII defenses. Besides, they aren't going to be bowl eligible anyway.

That is incredible from top to bottom of the conference. Now assuming that one team makes the playoff, that leaves 12 teams to fill 10 bowl affiliations. If all other conferences somehow fill all their affiliations, do our lowest 2 just get left out?

damn, that's an interesting question

KY looks like the longest of shots and Arky could easily lose out, if that happens, we have 11 teams for 11 bowls - UNLESS we get left out of the playoffs; which is still possible - unlikely but possible

If Arky wins and we have 12 teams, I can't help but assume that all teams will get a bowl - some kind of shitty bowl with no tie-ins or we will displace a C-USA or MWC team somewhere

Bowls are about making money and an SEC team will put more fannies in seats and draw more eyeballs than MOST teams outside of P5 conferences

if Arkansas wins one or two more...

We would wind up in the Liberty against Ok State or Texas.. whomever wins that head to head imho.

The Liberty is salivating over AR or TN in their bowl from the sec against the big12 5 pick..

Oh all bowl eligible Power teams will be somewhere. There is a chance of not having enough bowl eligible teams. I guess some 5-7's might get the invite if that's the case. Sad.

Yeah Kentucky and Arkansas definitely have alot of work left to do to become eligible, but all of the others are basically guaranteed.

The only way I see there being a playoff without an SEC team is if Ole Miss beats State, then Georgia beats Alabama in the SEC Championship. Then I'd expect Florida State, Oregon, Ohio State, and TCU in a playoff and there might be 300 points scored in those 3 games.

Texas won last night and are bowl eligible. Okie Lite is 5-5 with Baylor and OU left. It ain't happening for them.

Forgot about Baylor. Since they own the tiebreak over TCU, they would get in first. So Baylor, Florida State, Ohio State, Oregon, with TCU as the next in if one of those lose a game.

If 2 of those lose, then a 2 loss SEC team sneaks in.

Arkansas is not going to beat Mizzou.

Quit being silly.

Do we have to go through this same cycle every year?

At first I thought they would, but I'm impressed with Mizzou's run D. Defense is playing damn good. Now the offense is clicking. Guess it just took a lil time for all of them to mesh.

No tie-breaker with the committee. They've already ranked TCU ahead of Baylor despite the head-to-head.

I think I heard Jack Arute on Sirius College Football that the bowls no longer have the ability to jump a higher ranked team in order to set up a more palatable bowl.

I think we will all be lined up and you go to the first available.
