Not sure why you want to make fun of your dads service but in my opinion it's disrespectful and you should be more grateful and proud of your dad.

How can I still be proud of him after hearing your story of trauma and horror? I'm sure if I told him he'd agree...but I don't want to embarrass him. He'd probably toss out all his medals.
