What a bunch of quitters.

Oh shut your hole. You are a Georgia Tech fan so you get to say jack shite about someone leaving the SEC.

Can't compete in the SEC? Son, we've got more national titles at Arkansas since joining the SEC then you've got students on your campus. I was going to say we've got more national titles then times you've been laid but then we'd only need one for that to be true.

Its not a question of competing in the SEC, its that increasingly NW Arkansas, where we are located, is more similar culturally and economically to the Midwest and Great Plains region. Most of our games would be in our backyard practically speaking, which would reduce travel time for our fans.

We aren't going to do it, its pure hypothesis. It would be a fun conference if we could bring back the old Big 8, add Arkansas and A&M, and as I said, two schools not named Texas.

Now if we want your opinion on something SEC related we'll be sure to slap it out of you. Until then sit in the corner and keep your trap shut. Christ, you guys are the third best team in your state right now. You should be glad we let you even read this forum much less post here.

Eh, NWA has always been like that. If anything, the University has been the primary source of connection to the central and eastern Arkansas "deep South" people. The Ozarks to the east and south meant for a century, a lot of the travel into and out of the region was easiest via the north and west.

Without UA and those eastern and southern Arkansans who migrated and stayed, NWA would be even less "southern" than it currently is.

I'm down for a trade between 4 conferences: SEC, B12, ACC.
SEC gets Virginia Tech
B12 gets Arky
ACC gets UCF
AAC gets App State

You won't hear me wanting to go to the Big 12. I'm happy where we are. If we can get a good coach we can compete.

aggie being aggie. With the worst coach we have ever had it took overtime 3 times for you to beat us. Yeah you won but it was hardly shoving it down our throats. You weren't so cocky when we had Petrino 3-0.

Then the Big12 would invite Arkansas and Nebraska and offer quite a lot of money.

Interesting. Show us the money and we might leave.

I honestly don't care, but my sports-caring has fallen off a cliff in recent years for whatever reason. It isn't just because we suck at football, either.

I used to be a regular at Baum, and Bud Walton. Both programs are pretty good, but I think combined I have attended both venues less than 5 times in the past two years.

Big 12 opponents would offer closer travel options. Stillwater, Norman, Larry, Manhattan and Fort Worth are all closer to Fayetteville than any SEC campus. The older I get, the less I care about silly things like "conference prestige" or whatever we're supposed to care about.
