Kentucky was doing pretty well recently until Lars Jorgensen was outed for going further than bowman. I have 0 respect for coaches going after their athletes, regardless of age.

Yea, Lars was abusive as well…I’m surprised that Mitch didn’t shut down the program. Bret has t build back up the mess that Lars left UK.

Where did Lars end up landing after being fired by UK? I know one of his assistants ended up at Marshall because one of our club kid's has a sibling there...they were super nervous at first but ended up liking her a lot.

He technically resigned, and he landed on temporary safesport restriction 4-5 months back. I imagine that's less desirable than an ncaa show cause when it comes to getting a new job.

He's replacing a legend that can't be replaced, but the perfect man for the job.
Generations of Longhorns have never known anyone else but Eddie Reese as the Longhorns swim coach...he's coached the grandfather, father, son and grandson of more than one family. 50 years as a high level coach..countless Olympians. Yes it's swimming, but still worthy of respect.

I'm intrigued by this claim. Who?

It'll become SEC news soon enough.
Three pages on swimming & 24-7/365 coverage of WBB during March Madness & spring football. NIL has done its worst.

This is one newsworthy notch above Auburn's SEC equestrian title.

I don't have names, just something I heard from a fellow Longhorn who follows swimming. I mean 50 years is a looooong time to coach, he started in the 70's.

I think you wrote it wrong..

3 generations is possible
but 4 is likely not

Grandfather 70s
Father 90s
Son 10s or 20s

either way.. this is a cool stat.. ask your buddy the names when you can

You're probably right about that, and I will try to remember and ask next chance I get. It's not someone I hang out with regularly...friend of a friend type thing.

Ole Lars in the news today on ESPN and SwimSwam. This could be very bad for UK as he claims they knew of the alligations of him raping multiple swimmers inside the team. WOW !

Sweating while you swim, getting out of the pool puking in a trash can because you're pushing yourself so hard. I was in the pool at 6am before school started and 4pm after school every single day. You're damn right it's a sport.

Damn straight, that’s my daughter 5 days a week. She’s fricking pig iron tough, mentally & physically.
UT getting Bowman & entering SEC competition is awesome for UT & the
conference
These mouth breathers around here think that 6/7 weekends a year is the pinnacle of spending. Shiiiieeeet?
Ask a locale Convention & Visitors Bureau how much coin $$$. Year round club swim, short & long course seasons, generates for the local economy for the opportunity to host & swim at a SEC facility. Thursday-Sunday swim meet generates as much as a Saturday football game for the local economy.
We host next weekend at MU & I’m at admissions if there’s any other readers of this fine forum at the CSC Spring Classic @ Mizzou I’ll give you a Chicken Fried Discount.
