What's your honest opinion on how well you think Scarbrough will do?

Not getting a lot of hype or media attention. He won't get the work load Henry got but if he proves worthy of holding onto the ball and has the stamina of Henry then I think we can expect 25-32 carries a game. Damien Harris and BJ Emmons will get their carries because I feel like we will go to a pitch count type system like we did with Yeldon, Henry, and Drake. I see Scarbrough 25 carries, Harris 10, Emmons 7-10. We usually run the ball 40-50 times a game and throw it about 28-35 screens and play action bombs.

Bo Scarbrough Alabama Highlights

Alabama highlights are a little bit into the video, FYI.

I think we are gonna throw the ball more this year than ever b4 because our WR core is too deep and Oj Howard proved himself enough that Saban is gonna want to utilize them more this year. However, I think Bo is gonna have a great year I think he is gonna atleast get 1200 to 1400 yards at the end of the season.

It's not often a Bama RB does poorly. I'm sure he'll do just fine with splitting reps with Harris.

I think he will be an animal if he stays healthy.

He will destroy people if he stays healthy. He's bad man.

Wouldn't bank on this. Henry was a freak, would run the ball 40 times and look just as good (if not better) on his last carry than he would on his first. Dudes endurance was incredible.

Hasn't he had quite a few injuries in his very short career? I don't know what to expect from him because I haven't really seen him play but going off Bamas track record you have to think if he stays healthy he'll go for 1200 yds 10tds at a minimum.

I think most starting RBs in the conference would benefit from running behind Cotton, Pierschbacher, and Taylor(provided he gets his weight under control). Not saying that the young man isn't talented but hitting the second level untouched tends to give an advantage to the RB.

Aren't y'all concerned about his over-development leading to injuries?

I'm not totally convinced that he's a better and more complete back than Harris at this point.

He looks the part, but he has a lot to prove.

This. Not saying Bo is an average back, but I'd much rather have a great offensive line with an average back than a great back with an average offensive line.

Hopefully Brent Key will serve as a good o-line coach now that Cristobal has moved to TE's.

Eventually Bama will have a drop off at the RB position. However, I have been saying this since 2010ish.

The OLine matters more than the back. The question is how good will it be.

I doubt it. I think Henry averaged 26/game last year and that was an anomaly in the Saban/Alabama era due to losing RB depth over the last few years (Alvin Kamara, Altee Tenpenny, Tyren Jones) and then Drake's injury late in the year. That left two inexperienced guys as the only backups and Saban leaned on Henry heavily to finish out games.

I think Saban will be hoping for a more even split between Scarbrough and Harris (more like 60/40) and hoping for Emmons to be a reliable third back.

Leading rushers (by attempt/games played) in the Saban era:

2007 - Grant 16/game
2008 - Coffee 16.6/game
2009 - Ingram 19/game
2010 - Ingram 14/game
2011 - Richardson 22/game
2012 - Lacy 14.5/game
2013 - Yeldon 17/game
2014 - Yeldon 15/game
2015 - Henry 26/game

Only two years did a guy have over 20 attempts/games played (Henry 2015 and Richardson 2011). The other years weren't even close except Ingram 2009.

Alabama does seem to run more plays/game under Kiffin (haven't checked the actual stats) so maybe there will be a few more rushes. A lot will depend on the QB. Receivers/TEs are stacked so the passing game could be heavy if there is a reliable QB.

My guess is more like Scarbrough 20/game, Harris 15/game, Emmons and other RBs 5-10/game.

I was told by a Bama fan that he is just like Henry, except with way more quickness and speed . Anything less than 2,000 yards will be a shock IMO.

If he's Bama's starter he will have a very productive All-SEC type year. He'll end up overrated, just like all their backs, because he's runnng through big holes created by a great offensive line.
