6-9 is definitely standard but it can be shorter with the right surgeon, depending on the type of tear, PT, individual healing, and various other factors. And I agree it would take a miracle for him to play this season.

The problem for RBs in particular is that you have to be able to make quick cuts that are sometimes extremely awkward even without contact and in good circumstance. Contact can also make it so that those awkward movements destabilize a still healing injury.

Also, with sports injuries, especially ACLs, there's often more than one tear. We hear about the ACL more because it's the most dreaded one that gets all the press and Joe Schmoe is familiar with it but other ligaments, namely, the PCL, LCL, and MCL are prone to athletic injuries and many times they are injured alongside the ACL. All of these ligaments can not only have different types of tears (full and partial) but also different types of injuries.

FWIW, the ACL, PCL, LCL, and MCL are the most commonly injured with the PCL taking the #2 spot.

Bama had a punter one year who played the whole season with a torn MCL.

He could kick, but that was about it.

Tennessee's left Tackle played on a torn ACL last year.

Tough, tough guy. Walk-on too.

All those UK fans were so sure Damien Harris wouldn't see the field this upcoming season.

That sucks. Watching practice can be cringe worthy at times, with legs and joints under so much stress.

They have 2 talented FR coming in along with Drake and Henry. Pretty sure they won't miss a beat at RB. RB is easy for TR FR to pickup if they can get the blocking portion of the position down.

I'm a 2000 and 2007 Bama grad and there's no other team I despise more than Tenn, but what kind of a-hole down-votes this post?
