Manziel is the GOAT, so who cares? Alabama has never had as good of a player as Bo, though. What does it matter? GOATs don't win Championships, teams do.

Sirr Lee Parker is the GOAT followed by the J-Train. Everyone knows that.

Herschel had more yards because he had significantly more carries at both levels. Bo DGAF about football.
Bo still had a higher average per carry at both levels than Herschel, the same TDs per carry as Herchel in the pros (Herschels is diminished by USFL stats) and Bo had substantially more touchdowns per carry than Herschel did in college.

It is undeniable that Bo was extremely good at both sports he played. But to say he was the best "athlete" because of that is a little disingenuous. Herschel was involved in more sports at just as high (or some cases, much higher) level.

I believe Bo had more God-given talent, but Herschel did more with what he was given. If Bo had not of got hurt, there is no telling what he would of done. I loved to watch him crank a baseball. Highly doubtful anyone will ever do what these two did.

I don't get this reasoning. Bo was a star at two professional sports, at the highest level, at one time. He had a career ending injury yet came back and played MLB baseball after it. There is no telling what he could have accomplished if he had stayed healthy.

Bo and Herschel were and are both bad arse...

Absolutely. They were both "Once in a lifetime" athletes. It's amazing their playing time overlapped. Watching them both was amazing. They both did things nobody had done before and will probably never do again. I wish I had appreciated them more at the time.

But the most amazing thing about BOTH of them is they both stayed out of trouble and seem to be genuinely good people.

It's really very simple. Herschel was a far better football player than Bo. If Bo didn't struggle with injuries that gap would have been far smaller, or possibly there would have been no gap, but injuries are a huge part of football.

Bo has way cooler stories about him though, I'll definitely give him that. The coolest story about Herschel is how he ran for about a thousand yards more than Bo in one fewer season and never lost an SEC game.

Not as cool as that time Bo reversed slam dunked a stick when he was 7 months old, but I'll take it.

I guess Trent Dilfer>Dan Marino

Andrew Luck never won a national title, I guess AJ Mccarron is better than him?

And keeping with that criteria...

NIKE must have overlooked Herschel's GOAT-ness when they were looking for athlete representatives to make them the worlds greatest, most recognizable sports brand.
