Tennessee....to a bowl?

The USCe is a big game for their Bowl hopes, just like it was for Arkansas last week. Ark failed. UT has a legitimate shot.

Exactly ... which is why they must be predicting UGA to win-out their regular season which no one sees happening.

With that in mind it is not fees able for SCAR to end-uo in the Sugar. For SCAR it is all or nothing ... unless someone believes UGA is going to win the rest of theirs during the regular season?

The Sugar will want A&M, LSU, or Bama especially after the UF debacle last year. They also won't be wanting Louisville back.

Remember Bowls are a lot more about selling tickets and ratings than they are who deserves them. That has actually hurt A&M's Bowl record over the last 20 years, we often got better bowls than we deserved because the Cotton or Alamo knew we were a guaranteed sellout. The Sugar would lust hard for A&M's fanbase traveling to what will likely be JFF's last college game. That game will also get excellent ratings regardless of opponent.

If A&M loses to LSU and LSU loses to Bama is where it gets interesting. It gets even more fun if Texas gets it together and loses no more than 1 more game and goes to the Cotton who would gladly take either A&M or LSU for that matchup. I think Cap One gets an East team.

Lots of moving parts still.

I'd say Auburn is almost a sure thing for either the Outback or Gator.

Well we're in luck if we can get to that situation. We travel really well to bowls

Not necessarily. Vandy got a better bowl than Ole Miss despite everyone knowing that Ole Miss would bring more fans than Vandy even has. IIRC Ole Miss took 50k to Birmingham to blow Pitt out.

A long shot maybe. Not a legitimate shot. They've got a shot, let's agree on that. SCAR is businesslike with the superior team and Spurrier has been playing this one up all week even evoking his childhood as a UT fan to his players.

UT has a shot, that's about it.

Does it seem like Ole Miss and Pitt play each other in bowls a lot?

The Sugar would take an undefeated Louisville team in a skinny minute. That's not the issue.

And Gamecock fans are famous for traveling to bowls ... the Sugar would love to have us. That's not the issue either.

The issue is, unless someone here believes UGA wins-out their regular season as depleted as they are at the the moment, that it is not feesable for SCAR to go. If UGA doesn't go to Atlanta, then it is mathematically impossible for SCAR to end-uo in the Sugar.

I, blindly, consider all of those with the exception of Alabama as "winnable."

Which is why their "legitimate" shots are against Mizzou, Vandy and Kentucky.

When was the last time the Sugar took someone who finished 3rd in their division?

Is this your first ever Tennessee - USC game? These games are ALWAYS closer than it should be. It goes both ways.

I agree. Jones seems to be coaching the "quit" out of them. Saban had to do the same thing his 1st year at Bama. UT's off week came at a good time.

I've never understood the hate for BR. Yeah, so they're not professional writers, but then are there any professional sports writers that anyone thinks is worth a shite?

What does it matter who is writing their opinion? It's just, like, their opinions, man - just like everyone else.
