Nope, I've lived in Springfield and St. Louis. Not bad places except St. Louis wants to be Chicago when in reality it is a poor version of Indianapolis. I mean who really cares "what high school" you went to....and you know exactly what I mean if you live in St. Louis. Springfield is a better location for the outdoors and I liked the social scene there better than St. Louis.

But I have better outdoors activities in Mississippi because the only thing I give up is Table Rock. I have a reservoir 20 minutes from my house (plus I live on a small lake anyway) while I can also get to the Gulf easier. I have cheaper cost of living, you'd never find my house/neighborhood else where, have all the amenities I could need, live in the best school district in the State where the average ACT score is close to a 22, the people are great and if I want to get away New Orleans, Dallas and Chicago are a quick flight away.

So yeah, Mississippi is hands down a better option unless you like like higher taxes, have to pay for private schooling to get the education for your kids, live with a bunch of pompous people, not have the outdoor activities available, live with worse traffic and where you dollar won't go as far!

I don't know much about Mississipi, only drive through it on my way to Nola for vacation. Nice, easy, relaxing drive though down Interstate 55. The more south you go through the state, the prettier it gets. 55 is virtually an autobahn, rarely see highway patrol and most drivers are practically pedal to the metal.

Mississippi gone Mississipp.

I'm not sure there's a Big 10 school you can get into straight up with a 22.

Springfield is a nice town. Southern Missouri is always the better option. The Northern half of Missouri sucks. We have too many libs and hippies in Kansas City, St. Louis and especially Columbia.

You can say that about any big city though.

You know that is not the reason why they ask that question! It is all about trying to identify if you have money. I mean how pitiful is it when you in the late 20's or 30's and people are asking that question. Why not ask where I got my undergrad or graduate degrees. How about what you do for a living? But no, let's stratify someone based upon what zip code they grew up in? Is it shocking that y'all got Ferguson type issues with that type of mentality!

A...V....E...R...A...G...E!!!!!!!!!

Maybe you got it now that I spelled it slower for you. Maybe need to brush up on some statistics! That is a very respectable score when you have over 1,800 students in a public school where over 90% take the ACT.

Nope, y'all live in an arm pit of a state where the best you have is St Louis and you want to look down at other people...no wonder Bjork said NO to you!

There are serious concerns about the way in which he handles himself among big time donors and alumni.

Not really. Doesn't seem like it's negatively impacted donations in any way.

It's funny that Mizzou fans are trying to convince themselves that "Oh he turned us down? Well we must not have given him a serious look anyway"

I mean, I love Mississippi as much as the next person but if I got the opportunity to live in St. Louis, Kansas City or Columbia, I'm there. Missouri isn't a bad state outside of southeast Missouri.

Well this is one Mizzou fan that doesn't care either way. If he wanted to stay at Ole Miss, more power to him, there are plenty of good candidates.
