who in the hell calls timeout on second down and 2 seconds on the clock before half time and Col. had the ball.t

That call actually made perfect sense. The clock was reset to 10 seconds, CU ran 3rd down, WVU used its last timeout to force a punt, but CU ran the ball on 4th down to exhaust the remaining three seconds on the clock. Stewart ws just trying to force a punt deep in CU territory.

The more baffling timeout was the one taken at the end of regulation, though even that seemed more defensible than the announcers made it out to be.

But,Rodriguez left him so much talent. I thought that was all that mattered. Shouldn't just talent alone win for them ?

He didn't leave him that much talent. Keep in mind the Oklahoma game was won on emotion. The D is gone from last year, Slaton went early, Reynaud too, and Owen Schmidt graduated. Rich should have stayed at WVU because that UM program is in worse shape right now then even WVU.

The Oklahoma game was won on Oklahoma who has a horrible track record in bowl games. Ole Miss, WVA, Boisie St, all beat them in bowl games. They don't like playing after Christmas.

The worst thing that could happen to WVA also happened to LSU in 1986 when we hired an asst coach instead of looking seriously at outside candidates. Archer lasted 4 years, Stewart won't.
