I pretty much agree with the list as is. Although I think OU is ranked to high at #12, should be closer to 15/16.

Connelly has consistently maintained that Ole Miss was the best team in the country the 1st 2 months of last season, before it fell off the cliff late in the season.
People tend to extrapolate from the late season dive but the 1st half of last season is a better predictor of how OM will perform this year (while healthy).

Well it wasn't the first time.
09 GMac had 0 starts won the sec and bcsnc,
11 McCarron had 0 starts won the Bcsnc
14 Sims had 0 starts won the sec and made the CFPO.
I'd say There is a above average chance it will happen again. This Bama team is going to be improved on defense and will be in the top 3 in the SEC and top 10 nationally in total and scorung defense. Will be the best vs the run and will be much better vs the pass. The offense will be just as effective. I'd say the run game will be better and more utilised and the passing game will take a slight step back but by seasons end will be very good. Too many elite playmakers at skill positions to not have a good offense.
The schedule is pretty damn tough @UGA, @Au, @TAMU and @MSST are all tough games. If Bama can get past UGA with a win it will give the team a huge confidence boost and I would like their chance of winning the SEC. Don't think Bama will go undefeated, no one will in the SECW and could see a 2 loss secw team in the cfpo. Bama will need better QB play(turnovers killed Bama vs Ohio State) to be able to win it all.

Tennessee has won 5 conference games in 2 seasons. You might be impressed by that, but given that they play Vanderbilt and Kentucky every year, it's really not. I don't see how they are a top 25 team.
