I assume you just don't know what that word means.

On topic: the available evidence would suggest that 21-0 is the fluke. It doesn't comport with any Bama win in the 2000s except 2002, and the most recent games which shared the most common players resulted in LSU victories. Be that as it may, Bama is the national champion, flukey score or not, so it doesn't really matter.

Probably because we're Bama and the NCAA, BCS, Media, Coaches, Hot Chicks, and the SEC all bow down to us and give us what we want, right?

First of all, it seems many college football fans were serious when they said they didn't want to watch a rematch of a game they'd already seen, particularly one that ended 9-6 the first time and didn't exactly provide a lot of excitement.

BCS rating proves the only folks wanting that game was Bama and ESPN. No one likes your team period, just you gumps.

Au also threw 3 picks in the redzone that kept USCE in the game.

I know, that's what just baffles me. Au didn't play great and should have won by a larger margin but based on the teams overall season/play Au beating USCe was a fluke. not that there was a fluke play, onside kick or anything just looking at the teams overall season/play.

Bama fans are impressively thick-skulled.

1. LSU beat Alabama fair and square on 9-6. 2. The mulligan of this century was a 2 loss LSU team with losses to Kentucky and then Arkansas at home in the last regular season game getting to play for a national title. 3. What is erased is a 2011 national title for LSU.

Did we play one of the teams that beat us?? nope and our losses were double and triple OT losses.
yes we all know you won the 2011 championship.
1-1 in 2011 to bad we could not have played a 3rd game.

I think Bama fans over rate USC because they handled Bama last time they played. USC and AU were fairly even last year. AU just had a tougher schedule. USC was a little better, but certainly not enough so to consider the AU win a fluke.

Looking back at last year, what game result do you think was the biggest fluke, based on lucky/unlikely breaks, calls, etc.?

My guess would be South Carolina-Georgia. Georgia really outplayed them, but South Carolina got FOUR non-offensive touchdowns (fake punt TD, fumble return TD, interception return TD, and fumble return to the 5 resulting in a TD technically scored by the offense). What easily could have been a 42-17 Georgia blowout was instead a 45-42 South Carolina win.

Arky against Texas A&M.

That's why it's called being a fan.

Seriously though here is something funny. LSU fans always say "gumps/bammers/updykes/teabaggers always use the excuse 'we beat ourselves'"

Yet LSU fans always go around screaming the excuse "mulligan." Am I the only one that sees the irony?

Well, who cares if other fans/teams don't like Bama, that means we're winning. DWI.

The impressive feat would be to come up with a topic that they couldn't make in to a pissing match with the team they went .500 against last year. I'm not sure that someone could do it.

1. LSU beats Bame 9-6 in OT
2. Most objective fans notice that Bama played better and moved the ball better, and LSU was lucky to win. Statistics back this up.

3. This deeply angers LSU fans and they refuse to accept it
4. A rematch is set to settle this once and for all
5. This angers LSU fans and they refuse to accept it
6. Bama completely dominates, destroys, exposes and humiliates LSU, proving most everyone right
7. This angers LSU fans and they refuse to accept it
8. Fast forward 6+ months, some LSU fans still in a state of angry, butthurt cognitive dissonance and denial

Yes because it isn't irony and you ACTUALLY did get a mulligan. You never beat yourself.

Only Georgia not covering a fake punt can be beating yourself apparently.

"Albama beat themself" and ESPN agreed to give you a mulligan through an Obama type campaign. No irony.
Cause and effect.

Boy y'all sure do hang your hat on a regular season game, I'm sorry your team couldn't get up for the biggest game in your "storied" programs history.

11-1 disagrees with you. ESPN and Mulligan agree with you.
