Really good actually. Win or lose, still booze. Don’t have to shoot your son for not being mad enough. Top 25 ranking feels great and wish the season would never end.

That's reasonable under any era of college football. And you are smart to be so concerned.

It's not a concern. UGA has had success despite Bama being great with Saban there.

But it is the question that has the biggest impact on the conference. If Bama regresses, it makes UGA's path toward a long string of success an easier road.

Tennessee had 1 good year in 2022. Are they good enough to be in the conversation with Georgia and all the other good teams in the SEC? In my opinion, I don't think so.

I agree that the LSU defense was pure arse. But when we played Ole Miss, their defense was only marginally better. Solid troll though

And failure with him here. 2012 SECCG, 2017 NC, 2018 SECCG, and 2023 SECCG losses to BAMA cost you a look at the playoff or NC.

You are still thinking what was. It's a brave new 12-team playoff era. I would suggest that even SEC titles won't carry the importance of past decades. And soon 14 will be a part of the playoff landscape. Be sure and let Kirby know.

Don't worry about the LSU Defense, Baker will have us ready.

Besides, we have bigger fish to fry than Ole Piss.

I stand corrected. 7 different SEC champions since 1964. Still, you would think other SEC teams would have accidentally won at least one SEC title.

And I'm also giving Kentucky credit for whipping Oklahoma and winning the 1950 NC with Coach Bryant.

It's a subjective subject. Teams tend to start counting when they do their best playing. Florida would only be interested in 1992 forward.

I think it's fair to count integration as the dawn of modern college sports. So by 1970 it was a done deal for the entire SEC?

It was a shared title as well. No one outside the Big 6 has one won an outright title since before integration.

If your math makes you comfortable going back to 1970, you should appreciate the way SEC titles were won back then. I have zero problem counting co-champions.

A few LSU defensive players have said this spring that they've been tasked with playing more in their opponents' face much more than season. Toviano said that he believes the more "pressing" attack on defense fits the mold of LSU's current corners and defensive back well.

That 1976 Kentucky Co-Championship is pretty weak.

In 1978, Mississippi State had to forfeit a bunch of games.

Therefore, Kentucky moved to 5-1 on the season, which was tied with Georgia, but Georgia beat the shite out of Kentucky that year.

31-7 @ Kentucky

The tiebreakers were different back then, so technically, they may be "co-champs" but it's a pretty weak argument imo.

What you call "my math" is the most objective view. I guess you could argue '68 or '69 but that wouldn't affect the Big VI. Or do you disagree that integration was the watershed moment in college sports history?

Nothing technical about it. Does Georgia count the other half? They both are recorded and the hardware has been passed out.

Thems the rules, no apologies for the game we played for 100 years. Conference champions or mythical NCs as well.

I'm good with the history books.. but when something is done after the fact.. in this case.. Miss State having to forfeit games 2 years later, that shouldn't count as wins for their opponents..

As an example, if Mark Ingram was determined to be ineligible in the 2009 NC game, Texas shouldn't be able to retroactively say we were National Champs. That would be stupid. No one should get to claim that year.

..just my opinion

amazing how different someone's perspective is when their self worth isn't tied to a sporting team. unlike some fanbases.

The biggest question is actually how many posts you will make about LSU to deflect the that when Kiffen and Old Piss stay consistent and have once again no SEC Championship, Playoff Appearance, or Nation Championship and Old Piss goes into the same offseason championship form along with maybe next year.

The Big six came from a newspaper article in 1986, that is what it refers too. Keep in mind it included UF who at that time had not won any titles except 1 that had already vacated by then. It will never change.

I consider it a consolation since we would’ve won the SEC in 1977 (undefeated but on probation).

I think the bigger question is if Ole Miss can actually win something of note post-integration

Oh do ya? The team who lost their entire offense has bigger fish to fry than the team who returns pretty much everyone with the top portal class.

LSU fans are fricktards.
