Shut the frick up. Saban left after the season was over and he had been there two full years. Petrino left 13 games into his first season by leaving a fricking post-it note on the player's lockers.

See, Falcons fans still mad Bobby left them for a destination job.

I'm sure the Dolphins fans are mad at Saban for doing the same thing.

How did the SEC make Meyer quit? The dude kicked everyone's arse when he was at Florida. You don't make any sense.

Alot of people around here believe that when Saban beat Meyer in the 2009 SEC championship it was a changing of the guard and then in 2010 Meyer lost badly to Saban in Tuscaloosa.

Miles actually made Meyer quit. It was the levitating ball trick, remember?

Urban is the answer man. I don't know if I love the way Saban does business but at the end of the day business is business. Urban's antics are on an entirely different level.

Much like Pete Carroll has I think Saban could do well if given an opportunity to go back to the NFL...

Petrino was a disaster at Atlanta, but you would have thought Arkansas burnt dead baby bodies on the 50 yard line by the way their fans acted once he left.

I think the Atlanta outrage grew out of him quitting in the middle of the season. You just don't do that. However, what is fair is fair. Teams can fire you in the middle of a season...

I still can't stand Petrino, though.

Well, Blank fired Reeves with just as many games remaining in one season, also prevented him from having to pay a bonus that year to him.

Its just the way pro sports "work", you are not "allowed" to quit, but you can go to college/a different team after being fired and its all "OK".

Never beat Auburn, got beat by Shula, 2-1 against Saban, got beat by the same Michigan team that lost to Appy State, 1-1 against Houston Nutt, lost to Dan Mullen. That with a laundry list of BS and the way he basically abandon UF fans, yeah his arse quit.

Reality: Saban was a failure as a pro coach

The two year stretch the Dolphins had under Saban was their best two year stretch from a couple of years before he got there til now. Wouldn't say he was a failure. Plus he had to take the field with Cleo Lemon as his QB for some games.

Meyer: I am leaving Florida because I need to address my health issues and spend more time with my family.

I don't see how anyone still questions his health concerns. You could tell the guy had lost a bunch of weight and was stressed to the max.

Per family, I think that was just a additive that he threw in because he was spending more one with the football team than his family(an his family resented him for it).

It's cute though that you guys still act like that has nothing to do with anything.

You should take up cross-stitch or something. I think you can handle LSU having their arse handed to them anymore.

on a side-note - Thanks for perpetuating the LSU whine
