Alabama looks to have a great O-line for next year but there is one huge hole to fill. Left tackle. CK will be the starter but his only back-up currently on the team will be starting at center. Last year we needed 3 players to make it thru the season. A little help will be coming in June but who will play the #2 slot at left tackel for the spring and A-day?

Why can't Barrett Jones just move back to LT if Cyrus gets injured? That's probably what Saban will do anyway.

It would be BJ no doubt if Cyrus were to get injured, as Kellen Williams is the 6th lineman ATM. KW could come in and play Center no problem, although it would be downgrade from Jones.

That is likely what would happen but we still need someone to play the #2 spot this spring and in the A-day game.

Who cares about the backup spot in spring practice and the A-day game? Saban didn't even have his starting offensive line situation settled until a few games into the season last year. It's not that important.

Freak does not worry me. Jones and Warmack will deal with him just fine in November. The thought of Kelly at Left tackle this spring does concern me tho for this spring.

When was the last time you heard anyone say that depth on the O-line was not important for an SEC team and you did not laugh at them?

I bet that Fluker will get some reps at LT in the spring just so he can learn the position a little bit more. Its easier to replace a RT than just about any position on the line, definitely moreso than a C or a LT.

the philosophy under saban has been that they want the 5 best lineman on the feild. So assuming that CyKo was to get injured, if our 6th best OLineman is a C, then clearly we would just move Jones back to LT. but if our 6th best player is a RT, then maybe they move Fluker to LT and keep Jones at C. i know the coaches like to have flexibility and like to experiment.

i know some people on here say Fluker is too slow or fat or whatever to play LT. to you sirs, i say
