UTk is disqualified because they have exactly one great year since the 1950's.

^^^Ignorance on display^^^

Figuring UT won a National Title in 1951, we'll assume you meant after the conclusion of the 1950s.

Even still though...

#7 finish in 1965
#2 finish in 1967
#4 finish in 1970
#9 finish in 1971
#8 finish in 1972
#4 finish in 1985
#5 finish in 1989
#8 finish in 1990
#3 finish in 1995
#9 finish in 1996
#7 finish in 1997
#1 finish in 1998
#9 finish in 1999
#4 finish in 2001

That's 14 Top 10 finishes since 1960.... half of which were Top 5 finishes... to go along with 7 SEC Championships.

The big six will never be replaced. No one can infiltrate it, no one can win their way in. The only way for a current big six member to cease being a big six member is for them to resign from the conference. In that case the big six would simply cease to exist. The big six are charter members of the SEC, you can't supplant 80 years of history by winning one fricking sec title.

We all know what matters though. The big 4.

Alabama, LSU, Florida, and Auburn carry this conference on our backs.

So what was your excuse for the 1st 60 years in the conference?

Forgot,UF's FB history started in '93.

Until one of the other 8 teams win the SEC championship it will just be the big 6 . I agree with some of the others , it could be called a big 4 .

Let me guess, you either live in Georgia or grew up here and couldn't get accepted to UGA. Amirite??

Usually its the Aubbies that have this condition.

The big 6 is set in stone.

This is true. I'm going to break my vows now and let the members of the "Little Eight" in on a big secret: the Big Six, also known as "Beta Sigma" among its membership, is actually the equivalent of a very exclusive social fraternity of schools. The Beta Sigs have their own honor code, a secret handshake, and share a lifetime brotherhood. Throwing a member out of the Beta Sigs would be like repudiating one's own blood brother--it just can't be done.

I grew up in Alabama, went to UA, and moved to the metro Atlanta area for work and because my family now lives here.
But hey, you tried.
