The hypocrisy on this board is astounding.

People should be praying for Bert's knee, but they're making fun of him instead.

But make one joke about a player getting hurt and it's OH MY GOD HOW COULD YOU BE SO INSENSITIVE!!!

He'd actually be 50 lbs lighter if he'd take advantage of the unlimited access to the best fitness facility, dieticians, and nutritionists that available at his place of work.

Charlie's carries his weight really low and it sags on him like a morbidly obese person, i.e. Mangino. Bret carries his weigh high and tight and could solidly whip Charlie's arse.

I stand corrected.

I really loved the Cooking with Bert video he made. Where cooked the eggs for an hour, and cooked a dozen strips of bacon that he said Jen wouldn't eat.

Thank you for sharing the story of Bert's ACL.

I'll be more understanding of his balance issues going forward.

However, I'm not sure how Bert's ACL explains why he needed to put a block out move on Cam Rob and extend his arm against Cam Rob's chest.

If Saban had done the same to an Arkansas player, I'm sure we'd be hearing no end of it in addition to all the usual short jokes.

So while I acknowledge Hog fans skills at gathering around your team board and strategizing your next troll (Bielema could learn from your ability to adjust quickly to the enemy), I don't think y'all can admit that Bielema had no business at all blocking out Cam Rob like he did.

I gotta applaud the player safety angle, though. Bert should continue to milk that for all he can. Who can be opposed to player safety? It's like hating on Mothers Against Drunk Driving or Breast Cancer Awareness.

I mean, I get it. Bret gets a little worked up on the sidelines and does some crazy celebrations and such. I understand that fans might misconstrue his words and actions at times.

But when you make some effort to understand where he's coming from... it all makes sense. He's a true player's coach, concerned about the well being of all players on the field. He knows what it's like to give your all for your school.

I bet it really hurt him when that TPOS Cam Robinson pushed him, especially when Bret was just looking out for his, an opposing player's, safety as well as the safety of his own players. To have your efforts struck down like that must have hurt. It's no wonder he covered up that emotional pain with some fancy dance moves. Never let them know they hurt you. When they spit in your face, you gotta dance.

Thats the thing, Cam doesn't even realize that Bret was just looking out for him. He didn't want Cam to get hurt or his own players. I feel for Bret. He is so misunderstood.

Why should I feel bad about making fun of an exploited college athlete who has made millions exploiting college athletes?

Let us not forget that the flag also slowed down the pace of the game. That game was becoming dangerously fast.

That's a great point. You could tell things were really spiraling out of control with Kiffin's callous disregard for player safety. Heck, Bert probably wasn't even celebrating the interception. He was probably celebrating the fact that we were getting Kiffin's dangerous fast paced offense off the field, thus giving those poor players a chance to recover safely on the sidelines.

I think Bert was actually patting Cam on the chest and telling him, "Thank god you're safe!."
