The hurry-up spread stuff is embarrassing. I mean I understand why sun belt teams would do it, but if you're in the SEC you should act like it.

Lulz, This post is so full of fear.

Went to read woopig and hogville thinking they would be having a fit about Gus. Surprisingly enough, almost all of them are saying Gus has a point. I didn't know those two sites could be reasonable.

He coached Shilo before going to Springdale. Its a private Christian school that was playing against small 2A programs but didn't have to go by the same rules as far as only using kids in the school district.

You need to get out of Little Rock more often. It sounds just like the allegations made against every private school in the country.

Fixed.

First, this is awesome.

Second, with Malzahn's success everywhere he has been, and many team's inability to foil his very creative offense, what makes any of you think he will not be successful AND/OR win the big games? I could EASILY see us beating LSU this year. Bama... not so much.

Atlanta is a bit different from NWA. Shilo was the only private school around that big. They made them move up a class.

Doesn't sound any different than Alabama. Every private school that wants to play against the publics has to play a class higher than what they would be rated as a public.

Privates recruiting ain't exactly news anywhere....

His super secret offense lost to a Willy Robinson defense 2 years out of 3. The lone win came under Cam.

That should be cause enough for concern.

That was Terrance Cody. He played fairly well for a fat boy.

Terrance Cody

Who, despite his somewhat less than inspining appearance, is currently getting fitted for his superbowl ring.

In 2009 Arky scored 44 on AU.

In 2011, they scored 38.

This time last year, all we saw posted was how "Lefty" was going to turn Kiehl Frazer into Tom Brady, the "Stache" was going to bring back the AU defense of the Dye dayz, how their running game wouldn't miss a beat without Mike Dyer, how Zeke Pike was going to light it up, etc.

You realize AU's running game was better in 2012 than 2011, correct?

Would have been even better if MD had been able to rack up rushing yards against UGA/Bama/Ole Miss/aTm's 2nd & 3rd string defenses late in the game.

I'm just being a dick Joey. ~~~ Honestly, I think Gus has done as well as he can so far. His biggest job (IMO) is re-tooling the mental aspect of your players. They have a lot of talent on the roster, just gotta get them back to thinking like winners.
