If only Bert cared as much about the ramifications of morbid obesity.

Speaking of ramifications, that's what I 'll be giving Jenn Bielma after Bert kicks the bucket from a Bacon induced heart attack.

The more plays run in the hurry-up, no-huddle offense, the more chances there are for destructive injury. The more injuries there are, the more 24-year-old players like Borland, who Bielema says has a passion for the game like few he has ever coached, up and walk away from it all.

“We have to protect student athletes to extremes we never thought of before,” Bielema told Sporting News on Tuesday. “I just read a study that said players in the no-huddle, hurry-up offense play the equivalent of five more games than those that don’t. That’s an incredible number. Our awareness as a whole has to increase.”

Yup

Bielema had to walk off the stage in the middle of the post-event award ceremony to compose himself. Minutes later, he offered Borland a job to coach at Arkansas.

“I can’t imagine the thought process he had to go through to get to where he was,” Bielema said. "it's not about what we want for the game, it's about what the game needs."

Hope Borland takes the job

by never winning the west, bert will be saving his players from the added risk from an extra game... because you know... extra games equals more plays.

what a clownshow.

my god... beilema would have to go undefeated in year 3 to average 5 losses a year at arkanasas...

but seriously... you idiots championing the "more plays = more injuries" are complete retards... you guys realize this argument ends with the abolition of football, right?... it's a slope no one who loves football should want to go down.

And that mindset is why Arkansas will not win the SEC.

1 game vs 5 games

Hmm... Which has more plays that could lead to injury? I just don't know

Are you saying more plays do not increase the probability of an injury occurring?

Auburn ran a whole 23 more plays than arkansas in 2014... that's less than two plays more a game.

I actually don't agree with coach on slowing the game down. I'd just like to see them enforce the down field blocking rules and sub rules. Auburn doesn't snap the ball quickly, they line up quickly so you can't substitute. Its skirting the rules imo. Bring back the old play clock and call it a day
