Posting the most recent score when arguing on a message board is one a the gayest parts of the Internet. I feel like it started to become a popular thing to do after Alabama beat LSU 27-21 in 2008. After that is when you really started to see it.

LSU vs Ole Miss:

An Ole Miss win is more meaningful for them. The loss is expected.

For LSU, the loss is more meaningful; the win is expected.

Thats the difference between LSU and Ole Miss on the football field.
